01What it does
Vendor-built connector for Bitwarden: unlocks your vault (interactive master-password dialog), lists/gets/creates/edits vault items and folders, generates passwords, reads TOTP codes, and creates Bitwarden Send shares, plus optional organization administration via the public API. Designed exclusively for local use and never to be hosted publicly.
02How to connect
Claude
Run "npx -y @bitwarden/mcp-server" from your Claude config with a "BW_SESSION" env token (get one with "bw login" then "bw unlock --raw"). Requires the Bitwarden CLI ("npm install -g @bitwarden/cli"), Node 22+, and a Bitwarden account. Keep it local-only: the README warns never to deploy it to cloud hosting or share configs containing session tokens.
