01What it does
Datadog's official connector connects your AI assistant to your Datadog account so it can query metrics, search logs, read APM traces, and check monitor and incident status. Datadog's official setup docs cover both the Claude and ChatGPT install paths. Authentication follows your Datadog site's sign-in flow. Also available as a connector for Perplexity.
02How to connect
Claude
In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, add Datadog as a remote connector using the endpoint from the Datadog docs, and sign in with your Datadog account.
ChatGPT
In ChatGPT, open Settings, then Apps, enable developer mode, and add Datadog as a custom connector connector using the endpoint from the Datadog docs, then sign in.
Perplexity
In the Perplexity API Console, open your Project's connectors page (requires Project administrator), add Datadog, complete its connection setup, copy the connector ID (connector_datadog), and reference it as type 'connector' with id and server_label in the tools array of Agent API requests.
