01What it does
SEC EDGAR connector is an connector built by SEC-API that exposes SEC EDGAR filings (10-K, 10-Q, and other forms) as tools. It connects to Perplexity as a custom remote connector, so you can pull recent filings and their metadata directly inside a Perplexity thread.
02How to connect
Perplexity
Open Perplexity All settings, then Connectors, click + Custom connector, select Remote, name it SEC EDGAR, and set the connector URL to https://api.sec-api.io/mcp (use Authentication: API Key with your SEC-API key, or put the key in the URL as ?apiKey=YOUR_API_KEY). Set Transport to Streamable HTTP, tick the risk acknowledgment, and click Add.
