01What it does
Weaviate ships a built-in connector inside the main Weaviate binary (generally available since v1.38) with official docs on docs.weaviate.io. Once enabled, assistants can inspect collection schemas, run vector and hybrid searches, and create or update objects. It runs on the same port as the REST API and respects your API keys and RBAC permissions.
02How to connect

On your Weaviate server, set the MCP_SERVER_ENABLED environment variable to true, then add your instance's /v1/mcp endpoint as a custom connector in Claude's connector settings.
