01What it does

The official Claude connector lets you search and organize your Dropbox content, save work back to Dropbox, create shared links and folders, manage file requests, and move or delete files. ChatGPT's deep-research connector adds Dropbox as a connected app so you can search your files and cite them in research. Also available as a connector for Perplexity. Also available as a connected app for Gemini.
02How to connect
Claude
In Claude, open Settings, go to Connectors, search for Dropbox, and sign in.
ChatGPT
In ChatGPT, choose Deep research, select Dropbox as a source, sign in and grant access. Manage it later under Settings -> Connected apps -> Connectors.
Perplexity
In Perplexity, open Settings (or Computer) > Connectors, click Enable next to Dropbox, authenticate via OAuth, then select the specific files to sync with Perplexity. The connector can then be used in Computer conversations and Scheduled Tasks.
Gemini
Go to gemini.google.com and ask Gemini to perform an action in Dropbox, e.g. find files for a project (mention @Dropbox). Accept the connect prompt and grant permission. Requires personal Google Account, age 18+, US, English, and Keep Activity on.
