Mattermost's own connector (part of the official mattermost-plugin-agents project) gives AI agents secure access to channels, users, and content. Authenticates with a personal access token; the standalone binary is for development, production uses the Agents plugin's embedded connector.

Enable the Agents plugin's connector per the Mattermost admin guide, or run the standalone mattermost-mcp-server binary for local development with a personal access token, then add it to your Claude Desktop config.
