02How to connect

Claude

In Claude, go to Customize, click Connectors, browse for Tableau, and connect with OAuth; or point any connector client at the hosted https://mcp.tableau.com endpoint.

ChatGPT

Add the hosted https://mcp.tableau.com endpoint as a custom connector connector in ChatGPT and sign in with your Tableau Cloud account over OAuth.
